Evan Carr spent his formative years between Vermont and Massachusetts. As a teen he gained first-hand knowledge of the construction industry while working alongside his father on Nantucket Island and spent hours of his free time filling sketchbooks. During his college years he honed his artistic abilities under the tutelage of Stephen R. Bissette, an American comics artist best known for his work on the DC Comic Swamp Thing.  

Evan went on to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Tufts School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in 2003, followed by an Associate Degree in Architectural Technology from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2010, all while continuing his construction work on Nantucket Island. 

As a Project Manager for Kevin Craddock Builders, Evan gained invaluable experience in creating fine custom cabinetry, millwork, and furniture; historical restoration and remodeling; .and supervising all phases of planning and construction including budgets and scheduling. Shortly after relocating to Charleston, SC in 2013, he founded Evan Carr Woodworking, LLC where he has developed a reputation as a master craftsman whose skill and attention to detail are unparalleled. 

Evan now works closely with architects, designers, and homeowners in the Triangle area to craft cabinetry, millwork, and furniture to meet each customer's taste and lifestyle.  He is EPA Lead Paint Certified. His work has been featured in Best of Boston, Architectural Digest, Charleston Style and Design and Charleston Magazine.
